something went wrong with my laptop.
"screen no picture" -- it can be switched on and be running as per normal, but the screen just refuses to light up. so it's almost completely dark. but if you tilt the screen at THE correct angle, and then SQUINT your eyes REAL HARD, ...................you'll be able to see the screen (:
so on Tuesday after school, all on my own (boohoo), i went all the way to The Adelphi @ City Hall, where the onLy servicing center is, to send my laptop for diagnosis & repair.
--they said they gota bring it in. they gota change one of the components. & it'll take about 5 WORKING days.
so i'm thinking i could not last long without my precious new laptop. hahha. but i didd!! & it don't feel bad at all.
i simply check my email etc. on school's pc or bro's lappie. ^_<
i just wanted to mention this. i actually have to re-sit for my H1 Contrasting Subject 'A' Level Exam. i.e. H1 Math.
no. not b'cos i flunked it.
but. b'cos i have been retained in Pre-U 2. (well. to all those who haven't learnt of this yet. i suppose you'r surprised of this piece of news.)
& being retained means i'll be sitting for H2 Subjects 'A' Level Exams in 2009 instead of 2008.
taking H2 Subjects 'A' Level Exams in 2009 means i should be taking H1 Math 'A' Level Exam in 2008.
'A' Level Exams have to be sit for in one sitting. hence there's no such thing as combining the results of 2007's H1 Math 'A' Level Exam, and 2009's H2 Subject's 'A' Level Exam. even if i already have an A grade for H1 Math in 2007.
one might think that i ought to be of exception.
i mean i didn't flunk that paper though i'm retained.
but when questioned (by the school i think), i suppose the university(ies), having not come across this kind of case before, do not really know how to respond, hence simply advise that i re-sit for the exam.
(in contrast to, maybe, graciously telling the school that it is okay for me to not re-sit the paper, that they would kindly note my A grade -- dream on Hanisah)
& they will simply consider my previous A grade, should i not achieve an A grade for the same subject in 2008.
so though i need not re-sit for my H1 Mother Tongue and H1 Project Work 'A' Level Exam (SYUKUR ALHAMDULILLAH..PRAISE BE TO ALLAH) i still have my H1 Math to re-sit for. at the end of 2008. how fantastic.
actualy i shouldn't be sarcastic. i love math! i'm good at it! i think i'm gona have a goooood time (or boring time since i'd've done the same thing(s) before) during H1 Math lessons.
well. whatever it is. i'm just so determined to show the university(ies) that i can get ANOTHER A grade for them. HMPH!!
hahhaa....enough of that. oh. another thing.
the school is soo....*toot* they tell me i gota re-sit the exam. but they graciously did nOt assign me a H1 Math class? like whuuuut.
so how'm i supposed to know which H1 Math class to attend?? very smartly, i anyhow attend the class where majority of my class go to.
& i find out that that's actualy the slower class, as compared to the other where the minority of my class is attending. hahha.
so then the next lesson the subject tutor told me the department has come to a verdict.
that they'll let me choose which class i'd rather attend for the rest of the year....
on mother's advice, i decided to go to the, uh, more challenging class, where i guess there'd be more competition within. hehee....
so now. i have, of course, gone rusty in my H1 Math subject. i got a whole lota things to catch up on. boohoo. it's alright. i can do it!!!
ANOTHER A grade is WHAT I'M GONNA GET wheee!!!
sheeeeshh... Nurhanisah. NO. you'r NOT going to focus TOO MUCH on H1 Math OR H2 P.O.A.!
